Since she was young, her passion for performance arts was a catalyst for her to pursue a degree for both dancing and acting. When she dropped out of high school, she moved to LA in order to pursue acting as a profession. Her acting debut was with the short film Lucy's Piano. She starred in a significant role on the film 17 Again in 2009. In the following year, she appeared as Alice McKee playing the main character in the action fantasy film Blood: The Last Vampire. Her major TV breakthrough when she appeared playing the role of the main character in the television series called Kings in the year 2009.
